Our cute family

Last night we had a 'family fun night' at Netso's. Earlier this week when they told us about it, they said we were just getting together to have dinner and visit to cheer everyone up. Netso and Chase have just had surgeries, we are struggling with Libbi, and some other things are going on. I thought 'o how fun, this will be nice' well the night was really all about us and Libbi. Aubree read a cute story (below) and then my mom had these bracelets made for all of us to wear. It was very nice of everyone to think of this. It was really fun and cute! I love our families so much, we are so blessed to have so many people that love us!! And i must add that Aubree is a GOOD reader, i was so proud of her!
A piece of my heart(story read by Aubree)
One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart, for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it. Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful hear t they had ever seen. The young man was very proud and bragged about his beautiful heart. Suddenly and old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said “why, your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine.” The crowd and the young man looked at the old man’s heart. It was beating strongly, but it was full of scars. It had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in, but they didn’t fit quite right and there were several jagged edges. In fact, in some places there were deep gouges where whole pieces were missing. The people stared-how can he say that his heart is more beautiful, they thought. The young man looked at the old man’s heart and saw its state and laughed. “You must be joking,” he said. “Compare your heart with mine. Mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears.” “Yes,” said the old man, “yours is perfect looking but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to who I have given my love- I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them, and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart, but because the pieces aren’t exact, I have some rough edges, which I treasure, because they remind me of the love we shared.” “Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasn’t returned a piece of his or her heart to me. These are the empty gouges-giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too, and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?” The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man with trembling hands. The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it in the young man’s heart. It fit, but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges. The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old man’s heart flowed into his.

That was so cute of your family. I love the bracelts. I know what you mean about reading the blogs i have a link on my blog to one little girl named gracie, it's so hard to read i cry everytime i read her update i think it's especially hard cause that's the age megan was when she had her heart surgery & because i have a baby the same age and could not imagine going through that. I'm so glad you post about what's going on with little libbi i love hearing your updates.

i've been thinking a lot about you and your family this week - i just need to give you a call!
i'm glad you have so much support, and you & kurt have such a strong little family already!
i hope your anxiety won't get too bad these last few weeks - it seems extra bad the last month of pregnancy, minus any complications, so you are certainly in our prayers...

Good Morning little Libbi! Today is your daddys birthday! You are so lucky to have chosen him. He is awesome and such a great dad to Koy and Jerzi and You! Your mom is pretty great too (but its not her birthday cuz she is older than him)! I can't wait to see you! Stay strong and we will meet soon! Love you!

Cute, cute bracelets! You should sell them on your blog and use those funds for sweet Libbi. As the time quickly approaches I'm sure you are scared, anxious, and excited. Life with a heart baby is never what you plan on, it's better and as cheesy as it sounds things really do work out for the best. I'd love to chat and help you in any way I can! Us heart moms have to stick together, few people can relate.

This is Paul Cardell's CHD video. (I put it at the bottom of the blog, it fits best there..) It is shocking how many people, young and old are dealing with the same type of things we are. Take 9 minutes and watch, these are some of the cutest babies i've seen!! Libbi is about 6 and a half minutes into the video. (make sure you scroll down and pause my music playlist so you can hear his music, he is a pianist, it is very pretty!)
