Libbi's Tree

This year for Christmas time i teamed up with my friend Brenda to do a tree to donate to the Christmas Tree Jubilee. Her son, Hunter, has been attending speech therapy in Weber County for a year now. All the money raised at the Jubilee is used for kids in Weber County with special learning disabilities. I liked the idea of doing a local charity so we did it! We had so much fun! Here are a few of our favorite ornaments..

The Club did an event to help raise money for the Jubilee. We raised almost $700! Impressive!! We had a good time. (and by good i mean brutal..)

THE JUBILEE!!

We had the time of our lives!! This is for sure a yearly tradition from here on out. Our tree finally sold in the last couple of hours, to a Janice Hill. They priced it at $1000, which was one of the highest priced trees. We were feeling sad that it wasn't selling, so they lowered the price to $750. We were flattered they priced it that high! But sad we couldn't afford to buy it back :( :( :(

She needs me :)

Libbi and I have a love/hate relationship at this point. She is tough. She is almost 3. I swear i don't know why they call it terrible 2's, 3 is far worse in my opinion. With every kid i have felt that way. She is SOOOOOO stubborn! She will NOT nap and gets SO tired and grumpy. I've tried laying with her, driving for hours, putting her in her bed consistanly, etc etc. STUBBORN!! She screams if we are in the car. She screams if she doesn't get her way, she screams when she wants Grammy, she just screams. ALOT. It kind of wearing on the nerves... Yesterday she said "Mom, I need you" and jumped up on my lap with her 'bankie' and 'tippy' and just sat. I sat and held her and loved her and thought to myself, i can do this. I have to do this, Libbi needs me. As well as the rest of my family. What a good reminder :)

Christmas Tree Jubilee!!

Dear friends and family,

Each year we try to do something at Christmas time to 'give back' in honor of Libbi, our Supergirl. This year we have teamed up with our friend, Hunter Schenck, to decorate a tree for the Christmas Tree Jubilee! This event is to help the Weber County early intervention program, for children who have special education needs. Hunter is a dear friend and neighbor who attends the Weber County early intervention preschool. He is 3 1/2, exactly 1 year older than Libbi. He attends the speech therapy program. What a better way to give back than in our own community! We have had 2 cousins in this program, Jordan Rizley and Ben Dixon. We have a family friend, Tad Grange, who receives help from this program as well. We have seen what a great program this is, and want to support it. We are asking for any donation to help us make this a FABULOUS tree! We want to create a beautiful, amazing, traditional tree. We must also provide a tree skirt or blanket, and decor for underneath the tree. This event is held Nov 23 and Nov 25, the day before and the day after Thanksgiving, at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center. Breakfast with the Witches!

I took my girls to the Gardners Witchfest on Friday and boy was Libbi a delight! She was having the time of her life!! She danced and played and had such a fun time.

If you look closely, she is standing on the stairs dressed in black. She stood there for most the show.

After a while of watching the witches on stage she decided to JOIN them! I ran up to get her, but they said no no let her dance with us. I love that she is not afraid of ANYTHING! Including creepy witches!!

Getting her moves on again, this time with all the kids :)

This was Disco DIE-anna. Libbis favorite witch, and the feelings were mutual! This witch was in LOVE with her. It was such a fun time!
