9 month well visit at 10 months

We went in today for Libbi's well visit, it is actually one month late because at 9 months we were seeing Dr. Menon at Primarys so that counted at that time as a visit. So today was fairly easy, just a finger prick. Her hemocrit was 51% which is high and Dr. Rose wanted me to take her to the hospital to get another reading, taking the blood from her arm instead of a finger. I have emailed Dr. Menon to see what his opinion is, but i think i remember that it was ok for it to be high, which Dr. Rose agreed but he is uncertain how to check her iron with a reading so high. I am waiting to hear, but be assured that it is just an iron issue not a heart issue. She is doing well :) She is growing, which is no surprise to anyone who has seen her! She's a fatty!
Here are here stats:
Length 27.5 inches 26%
Weight 18 lbs 3 oz 26%
Head 45 cm 70%
As you can see, she is just fine in the growth department! She used to be 15% but has gone to 26th!
We continue to be grateful for her and how well she is doing. It is very humbling, we aren't sure why we deserve to have such a happy healthy heart baby.

Great job, Libbi! I am so glad she is doing well!

This is Paul Cardell's CHD video. (I put it at the bottom of the blog, it fits best there..) It is shocking how many people, young and old are dealing with the same type of things we are. Take 9 minutes and watch, these are some of the cutest babies i've seen!! Libbi is about 6 and a half minutes into the video. (make sure you scroll down and pause my music playlist so you can hear his music, he is a pianist, it is very pretty!)
