Lib-isms
A couple funny things...
Libbi is getting so big and funny!
*She started 'trying' to go potty and she does OK.
*When she wants something she'll say for example, mom, i want my jacket off. I'll say no. She'll say 'Mom say yes. Mom say yes. Please say yes.' Until i say yes ;) Ok she doesn't win EVERYTIME! I do have a little backbone left!
*If she calls you Lucky, what she really means is YUCKY!! Her sippys are LUCKY quite often!
*Also, if she says 'you're dumb'. She means to ask 'you're done?'
*She still LOVES Mickey Mouse. And the Ipad.
*She is quite the home-body. We can't leave for more than about an hour and she starts asking 'i go home' That may be an interesting factor in months to come :/
*She loves to tickle Drew and the two of them will LAUGH at each other. Priceless
*Her and Jerzi share a room. She has a bit of a bedtime problem. We started a routine this last week and she is already doing better. She likes to get out of bed and run and hide until we put her back. It has become a game to her, so i've learned to ignore her until she gets tired enough to crawl back in bed.
*She started dance and LOVES it! Her song for the recital is HEY MICKEY and her costume is Minnie mouse!! (i hope she will be able to do the recital. In the back of my head i fear she will be FONTAN-ed at that time)
*Her sats are great, she is still just above 80. She takes flovent for asthma, that seems to help her nighttime coughing.
Libbi Lou will be 3 on March 20!! Where has the time gone?!? Crazy!!
My older 2 kids are having some struggles and the Dr and teacher think they are related to Libbi :( Breaks my heart! Koy has been having a few anxiety attacks and Jerzi is really struggling in school. To read more about them, you can go to our family blog ;)
Happy February!!!

Orange juice and dishwasher
Libbi has started talking a ton lately! Here are a few Lib-isms from the last couple of days.
We were eating 'yunch' and she says 'where dis orange juice come from?' in a mad tone.. i said 'from the fridge, i got them for you' she says 'i don't yike orange juice!!!' and starts breaking the ORANGES (yes, for those paying attention, she's calling her orange, orange juice..) and THROWING them at me!!! REALLY GIRL!?!?!

Last night we were in the car and she just kept screaming.. "i want go to the dishwasher!!" i repeated, you want to go to the dishwasher? And she said "YA mama!" It wasn't until after she says "go that way" pointing that i realized what she meant. "O Lib, you mean the carwash" :)
After looking at her pictures posing in her saggy diaper i'd say its time for Libbi to go to the dishwasher! AKA BATH!!

Broken heart cookies
Libbi and her BFF Anna baked with me the other day! They had a blast! My favorite thing to do with my kids is BAKE! I love it :)
I found a broken heart cookie cutter at Target, how fitting!! I love/hate it :) But man they tasted yummy!!!

Dec 9 Appt!
Wow! I feel sheepish! I didn't post ANYTHING after our Appt on the 9th! Ok..now that i've had some time to settle, let me think and start from square 1. The phone call i posted about the day prior to the appt. I was totally prepping for surgery...like soon! Ok, so we go down on the 9th for a sedated echo and appt with Dr Menon. The echo looks good! Which is fabulous!! ... right... ?? I was a little overwhelmed with all this difference of opinion/mind changing business that went on. He said in the appt that she looked good so he'd prefer to wait til the sick season in over to do the Fontan. Great! I totally agree! ..but why the phone call the day prior? why worry me? what did he think the day before that changed that day? ... ok so we left with him saying, we'll see him the end of March for JUST AN APPT with him, from there we'll schedule a cath for April/May and do Fontan May/June. THEEEENNNNNNNN.... i get a phone call a couple weeks later. "Hi this is ... from the cath lab calling to schedule Libbis cath the first on March" Ok WHAAT? I'm so confused, i say 'Did Dr Menon order this?' She says yes he did. Ok so NOW her cath is on March 12. ... and that's all i know. I'm just going with the flow, cause it seems to change direction EVERY minute! Phew there is the update. As far as MOMS view, she is getting ready. Shes extremely moody and grumpy, won't sleep and says more than once a day 'mom i don't feel good' :( :( Breaks my heart. But she is ok. She is fine, noone else would even notice, but MOM does :)
Ok so i've been saying for a while that i really want an IPAD for when she has surgery. For her to play games on, for me to update blogs and fb, basically for entertainment for her (and me) in the hospital. Well my sweet family came over the night before her echo and gave Libbi this money tree for Christmas! How cute is that!?! They gave her money to go towards her Ipad, which we now have, and LOVE!
The sweets of the fam :)
This shirt was wrapped as the skirt for the tree. It says.. and though she be but little, she is fierce!
..and that she is! She recovered so well from her sedation! She wanted some 'atorade' and was set to go!
Sweet baby cakes. Love her!!

Appt Dec 9
Its that time again. Tomorrow Lib has her sedated echo and appt with Dr Menon.
She has not been herself lately at all. She is grumpy and tired all the time. I have to carry and hold her ALOT, its wearing me out. She is super needy.
Dr Menon actually called me just this morning. I'm still unsure why he called, i think maybe to prepare us for what he is going to say tomorrow. Without me even telling him how she's been acting he said "I think it's time for Fontan. Tomorrow we'll schedule her a cath for January and plan on Fontan in February, is that ok with you?" Um.. what do you say to that. No its not ok!?! I'm teasing, he is always very considerate and compassionate. I love him.
He then asked how she has been and when i told him he said he's not surprised. He said he really feels like it's time.

So.. anxiety starts a day early! This is the worst part of this process. The waiting. I will say 1 positive thing about this, it really makes me appreciate my family during the waiting process. I'm kinder, more tender, more patient and more loving. Its too bad it takes something like this to put things into perspective for me. But i'm sure my family will be glad that i'm a bit more patient!!

This is Paul Cardell's CHD video. (I put it at the bottom of the blog, it fits best there..) It is shocking how many people, young and old are dealing with the same type of things we are. Take 9 minutes and watch, these are some of the cutest babies i've seen!! Libbi is about 6 and a half minutes into the video. (make sure you scroll down and pause my music playlist so you can hear his music, he is a pianist, it is very pretty!)
