Breakfast with the Witches!

I took my girls to the Gardners Witchfest on Friday and boy was Libbi a delight! She was having the time of her life!! She danced and played and had such a fun time.

If you look closely, she is standing on the stairs dressed in black. She stood there for most the show.

After a while of watching the witches on stage she decided to JOIN them! I ran up to get her, but they said no no let her dance with us. I love that she is not afraid of ANYTHING! Including creepy witches!!

Getting her moves on again, this time with all the kids :)

This was Disco DIE-anna. Libbis favorite witch, and the feelings were mutual! This witch was in LOVE with her. It was such a fun time!

Whats going on with LIbbi???

Libbi has been doing well. She has had a cough for a couple months now. We've gone on singulair as well as zyrtec thinking its allergies. It still could be. She coughs mostly at night. She keeps getting colds as well. I finally took her in this last weekend to insta care. They had her sats at 95 (for those paying attention, that was clearly wrong!) so i took her to our friends house, Gracelyn, and there she was high 70s low 80s. I still felt off. I said a prayer that i would know what to do. I felt like she was lower than that, she has been really short of breath lately. She can't walk up the stairs, and won't walk for long without asking to be carried. I finally made the decision to run her up to the ER (it was a Sunday, and her ped was out of town) In the waiting area of the ER she was hovering at 75. We decided to check her in and see the Dr. We sat with the monitor on her for a couple hours, she stayed between 74-77 the whole time. I'm not sure what the discrepancy was in the o2 monitors, but the Dr there suggested we put her on oxygen at nights, worried that she drops even more when she sleeps. We have been doing that and she sleeps much better. (I must note that the air has cleared up too, so the sleeping better could be the allergy thing..) I talked with Dr Menon later in the week and he wants us to see a pulmonologist to see if the cough is maybe asthma related. He doesn't think it's heart related. So back to the low sats. He wants me to watch where shes at when she gets over her cold and then he will decide what to do on Dec 7. We have an echo and appt scheduled but he mentioned MAYBE doing a cath to help her sats go up a bit until Fontan. She weighs 28lbs and will be 3 in March. He keeps saying spring for Fontan. I just hope we can make it through winter. I worry that everytime she get a little cold she will drop. Then when she sleeps, moves or cries/screams (which is A LOT!) they will go down even more. Should i worry about this or not? I am so uneducated on the matter its ridiculous. I need to take some classes. People ask me detailed questions about her condition and i can't even answer them. Its embarrassing. Anyway, if any of you read through this whole post and feel like you have any input or education on this PLEASE let me know your thoughts! You can post a comment or email me at mindidixon@msn.com I would really appreciate some insight! Thanks friends :)

Today is the 2 year mark of Libbis Glen! Weird how time flies! I can't believe its been 2 years! I'm experiencing all sorts of emotions today. Its a good day ;) I love her, she is so fun and such a light in our life. Her next appt will be on Dec 7, her Fontan will be decided then i'm guessing. She will be 3 in March, that is the age they keep telling us her time will be here for the final surgery! Can't wait til its over and we can go on living a 'normal' life!!! We live pretty normal as it is so i'm not complaining, it'll just be nice to not have to stress about the upcoming surgeries anymore!!!

Ketchup cookies and sippys

All is well with Miss Libbi. We will go to Dr Menon on Dec 7, this will put her at 'almost 3' ;) For now she is just being a typical 2 year old! Learning how to count, sass and all that fun stuff! She is so funny to be with. She said the other day when i said 'you're cute' she replied "you tute too mom" lol Love her!
I do need to know, can one survive on no sleep, ketchup, sugar and milk? That is ALL she will eat! She is horrible!! She is getting way into puzzles and games, she also loves her tv! Care Bears, Backyardigans (HaKeen, is how she says that..??) and Mickey Mouse are her favorites!
She is a big sister to her baby Drew. She likes to feed him :/ The other day he was choking on cereal, yesterday in the car she fed him chocolate! Shes a good big sis!
That is about all!
Just wanted to let you all know we are still here and things are well!!!!

This is Paul Cardell's CHD video. (I put it at the bottom of the blog, it fits best there..) It is shocking how many people, young and old are dealing with the same type of things we are. Take 9 minutes and watch, these are some of the cutest babies i've seen!! Libbi is about 6 and a half minutes into the video. (make sure you scroll down and pause my music playlist so you can hear his music, he is a pianist, it is very pretty!)
