What a ride its been! I can't believe our little miracle baby is now 2! She is no longer a 'baby' she is a little toddler who runs around this house like she rules the roost! (which lets be honest, she does!) She is so smart and funny!
Some things about Libs ..
1: Dancing & Tumbling! She dances sooo funny, its to DIE for!!! She does a backhandspring and also a kartwheel that should be caught on video and sent into americas funniest home videos. Her sister tumbles so she has learned from her. Her kartwheel is a sideways fall, her backhandspring starts with both arms out in front of her and then her falling forward on the ground and rolling over. Serioulsy. So priceless!!
2: Koy. She LOVES her big brother. She'll wake up and first thing you hear her yelling is 'KOY' to come get her out of her crib! (she loves her sister too, but they fight like sisters!)
3: She no longer has a bottle, she has sippys. When she is tired she'll ask for a 'tippy' Way cute!
4: When her hair is in her face, she pushes it away. This is often, i finally cut her some bangs, but she still does it
5: There is a big mirror in our computer room and she'll stand on the desk and watch herself dance. Also, she talks to 'bibbi' in the mirror saying 'hi bibbi'
6: She LOVES to be outside! She tends to run away down the street so she doesn't get to be out much. We need a fence!
7: She wants to talk on the phone whenever we are on it, so just let her.
8: She can look at my pictures on my phone all by herself, she knows how to scroll through them just fine. Technology saavy at age 2! I guess she'll need it in this day and age!
9: She loves books. She'll sit and read to herself forever.
10: She alse loves TV. You will find her totally vegged out watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Max & Ruby or Curious George. She loves tv.. maybe a bit too much :)
Ok now onto her party. .
Saturday we planned a minnie mouse party! Aunt Netso did not dissapoint when she brought over this life sized Minnie balloon!!!
The cake, i had my friend make.
The party girl in front of her table set-up
Blowing out the candles, she needed a little help from big sis :)
Eating her yummy cupcake! (did i mention how YUMMY these cupcakes were?? mmm)
Part of the party crew!
Opening presents, she is one spoiled girly!!
Playing tickle fight with BFF Anna!
Having Grammy help her with her new house
Then came Sunday morn (her actual birthday)
Her brother and sis had MORE presents for her!

Now comes the tough part.. With it being Sunday, and her party being on Saturday, and her not being able to go to church, she got all dressed up with NOWHERE TO GO!!
But doesn't she look cute :)
Soo.. we played around the house for the day with all her new toys!
..and had some snuggle time with baby Drew.

It was a good day. Last year i had a really hard time on her birthday. I was worried i would do the same this year. It was tough, but not as bad as i expected. Birthdays are a time for celebration and happiness so i hate that her birthdays bring me sadness. I think too much about the future and worry too much about her. She is such a precious miracle in our home. We take her for granted day in and day out, as we do all of our blessings. I had time to reflect on her birthday and really realize how blessed we are to have 4 beautiful kids with us here on earth. It's just a temporary time and life could be taken from any one of us at any moment. 'Live your life in the moment' hangs on our living room wall. We need to remember this and do our best to return to our Heavenly Father so that we can all be together forever. Take time to be together as family. I read a quote on Sunday that reads "If i were the devil, i don't think i could get Latter Day Saints with any of the big sins. I think i would just keep them busy" I'm setting priorities and i'm not letting 'wordly' things take over the important things in life anymore.
*FHE is a must. We will do this every Monday
**Family prayer is going to happen, even if it means being a bit late for a ballgame
***Family scripture study is happening here. Even if i don't get to watch my favorite tv show.
I hope that through these efforts and trusting in the Lord, that He will compensate for our weaknesses and that we can be a successful family.
See what Libbi does to me? She was meant to come to this family.
She was meant to be my daughter and I thank her for being who she is!
Happy Birthday Libster!!
